LSS seeks to meet the needs of Monterey County's elderly poor with free legal advocacy, advice and referral. Its priorities are income maintenance, elder abuse, housing and medical care.
LSS helps with: Financial & Physical Elder Abuse, Social Security, SSI and private pension problems, health care, medicare, Medi-Cal & private health insurance problems, housing rights and landlord/tenant disputes, Advanced Health Care Directives and long-term care problems, simple wills, consumer and debt collection problems, and guardianships.
