Organization Description:

Bet Tzedek provides free legal assistance to thousands of residents of Los Angeles County who would otherwise be denied access to the legal system underpinning our democracy, regardless of their racial, religious or ethnic background.

Pro Bono Project Description:

Bet Tzedek maintains and relies upon a strong pro bono program in which volunteer attorneys can co-counsel with staff attorneys on complex litigation matters, directly represent clients under the supervision of a staff attorney, or assist clients via a variety of clinic opportunities.   Bet Tzedek also offers volunteer opportunities for retired attorneys and judges, and for volunteers who are not attorneys, including law students, paralegals, and college students, among others.
