The Disability Integration Project assists clients with disabilities to access community based services to avoid institutionalization. This includes assistance applying for Medicaid waiver programs that provide long-term care supports in the community and assisting children with disabilities in obtain school services.
We seek attorneys and paralegals to complete applications for Medicaid waiver program services and provide basic advocacy for children with special needs during IEP's at their school.
We also seek non-legal professionals to further the goals of the project. This includes professionals such as psychologists who have experience with ID/DD and mental illness, accountants or other financial experts who can review Medicaid budgets and formulas, administrative assistants for routine clerical activities, grant writers and legislative experts.
