American Indian Law Alliance

The American Indian Law Alliance (AILA) Legal Services Project provides free, culturally sensitive legal services for the New York City Native American community, numbering over 40,000. These legal services include, but are not limited to, basic legal services in housing and discrimination, as well as work with the Indian Child Welfare Act and border-crossing issues affected by the Jay Treaty. Volunteers are required to carry out their cases to completion.
