Volunteer Attorneys For Rural Nevadans' (VARN) mission is to provide free and/or reduced fee civil legal representation to persons of limited means and domestic violence survivors and to encourage and facilitate the provision of volunteer services by attorneys and others.VARN encourages all attorneys to participate in its pro bono program by accepting at least two (2) cases per year or providing ten (10) hours of pro bono services by conducting VARN's self help divorce clinics or by serving as a mentor to less experienced attorneys.
VARN honors those attorneys who have provided the most pro bono hours or accepted the most pro bono cases every year at the annual reception for the Nevada State Bar Board of Governors, hosted by the First Judicial District Bar Association at the Nevada Supreme Court.
